Day 5, Friaday 25 July 2013

A lot of progress and also we all feel very tired. Some of us started at 07.00 and worked until 21.00 without breaks....
The life of real Zometool addicts..
At present many boxes with panels have been emptied, many others still to go.
A new video and audio system was installed by Andries Lohmeijer. It will be even improved tomorrow.
We run out of glue, which is likely solved by tomorrow with the arrival of 72 new flacons of tubes.
We run out of panels because of a miscounting of Paul van de Veen.
The problem was partially solved by Samuel Verbiese and Helen Yu who did a lot of the 80 panels still missing.
Jim Hausman, Paul vdVeen and Dirk Korte had difficult times but managed to finish their part of PentiDisc.
Sometimes extreme bending of struts was required because of impossible assembly procedures.
Sometimes struts broke, requiring time-consuming repairs or short conversations like "Shall we leave the imperfection as it is?"
Our hands are covered with glue, our minds slightly intoxicated by the smell,
but our hearts every minute even more enlightened by the magnificent views on this superb model.

For now, a few pictures, a slide show and a video...
